Frances’ Kitchen

Frances’ 1913 Bungalow is full of details and built-ins which were replicated in the design of the kitchen. The existing 1950’s Chambers stove, and the farm style sink were the major focus for the design. A small footprint was made functional by relocating a door and windows, and removing an existing chimney. The peninsula, which was designed to reflect the details from the dining room built-in, allows for family members to be part of the cooking process without interfering in the work area. House and kitchen were featured in the 2008 Oak Park SouthEast Style Housewalk.
